A Trip to the Speedway

The Kansas Speedway had a free afternoon a few weeks ago so we went to check it out. It was the first race for all four of us and we had a lot of fun. We saw the Craftsman Trucks practicing and then an ARCA 150. We also walked out to the infield on the Fan Walk and got to see Indy cars getting weighed and checked over. They raced a few days later. We didn't stay for the whole race since it had gotten cold that afternoon and it was way louder than we expected. But it was fun to get a taste of racing to see if we liked it or not and to see the Speedway up-close.

Great joke!

OK, I don't usually forward jokes on but I love this one.

A little girl asked her mother, 'How did the human race appear?' The mother answered, 'God made Adam and Eve and they had children and so was all mankind made.'Two days later the girl asked her father the same question. The father answered, 'Many years ago there were monkeys from which the human race evolved.' The confused girl returned to her mother and said, 'Mum, how is it possible that you told me the human race was created by God, and Dad said they developed from monkeys?' The mother answered, 'Well, dear, it is very simple. I told you about my side of the family and your father told you about his.'

GO TIGERS, GO!!

Even more hoorays for the Memphis Tigers for making the NCAA Championship Game and for having the most wins ever in a season!

We just left UNC territory and are now in KU territory so I am not sure who to pull for in the second game today. Doesn't really matter - GO TIGERS!!!!!!

Now my only problem is that Gabby has her church musical on Monday night...let's just say we'll be making a quick exit Monday night. OK, ok, my kid is still more important than basketball. It will keep me from getting as nervous as I did today watching all the pre-game stuff.

One more time: GO TIGERS!!!

Tooth

Oh yeah, Sam has another tooth making the grand total six. Four up top and two on the bottom. Gabby has been complaining about one of her bottom teeth. I can't tell if it is loose or not yet.

Zoo

The second day of Spring Break we went to the zoo. It was very windy that day but we tried to enjoy the zoo as best we could.
