Here Come the Pumpkins!

Every year our church youth group holds a Pumpkin Patch to raise money. Gabby talked about it all week and wanted to see the pumpkins coming off the truck so we went this morning for the first shipment. She worked hard carrying the little pumpkins to a good spot.

Gymnastics

Gabby started gymnastics a few weeks ago. She loved hanging from the bar and kicking the "hot dog" (like a punching bag). She also enjoys free time when they can jump on the trampolines and in the big pits of foam blocks. After she decided she liked class, she picked out her leotard to wear to future classes.

Gabby's First Day of School

Gabby started back up at school the last week of August. (Yes, I am behind and trying to catch up!) She has her same teachers as last year but goes three mornings a week instead of two. As she moves closer to Kindergarten, they are doing more worksheets and she has even had homework a couple of times already. She also loves that they have show and tell once a week this year instead of once a month.

Camp Don Lee

Gabby and I went to camp this weekend! Camp Don Lee has a Mother-Child Retreat weekend so we went camping. We got there Friday night and the kids played for a while. I was seriously questioning my decision as we were trying to sleep in the sweltering heat Friday night until the rain moved through and cooled things off. (This was camp camping, mind you. Cabins with metal racks and no A/C. Bathroom at the bath house.)
Saturday we each took our own classes and then had some time together to go sailing and swimming. After supper, we went on a hayride, had an ice cream sundae and enjoyed s'mores at the campfire. As Gabby said, "That's a lot of sugar." Sunday morning the kids helped put on the worship service before we headed home. Seven ladies and eight kids from our church went, including another four-year-old from Gabby's Sunday School class.
We really enjoyed our time together and Daddy enjoyed his weekend with Samuel. Their first football weekend just the two of them.

Sam at Four Months

Sam had his four month appointment and shots today. He now tips the scales at 16 pounds and is 26 1/2 inches long. That means no more car seat carrier since he is too long! Gabby was the same way, getting too long for it before getting too heavy for it. He checked out fine in all ways.

War Eagle, Four Months, and back from Korea

Sam was four months old yesterday, Sept 1. He's still growing like crazy and has developed quite a little personality.

Yesterday was also the start of football season. Gabby and Sam were decked out in their orange and blue and ready to go.

And last, Robert returned from Korea yesterday after being there for 2 1/2 weeks.
After airport delays, he finally made it home about 11 PM last night. It only took 36 hours! He brought back some very cute outfits for Gabby and Sam. We are happy to have him home.
