Mid week at the beach

We finished dinner early last night and ran to the beach. Gabby, Daddy and Jordan played in the waves while Sam and I enjoyed watching. Sam also put his feet in the water and the sand.

Sam's stats

Sam's two month appointment was Monday. Just to prove that eating is his favorite pasttime, he now weighs 12 lb, 3 oz and is 24 inches long. Now I know to those who have 10 pound babies that 12 pounds at 2 1/2 months is no big deal but consider that he went from the 13th percentile in weight at 2 weeks to the 60th percentile at two months. He is still standing strong in the 90th percentile in height. I will try to get more pictures up soon.

Samuel at two months

Here's Samuel at two months old. As you can see, he has rounded out quite a bit. His favorite activity is eating so that is to be expected! His two-month appointment is next week so we will see how much he has grown.

More firsts

Sam got his first boat ride today. You can see how anxious Gabby and Jordan were to hop in the water as soon as Daddy had us anchored. Gabby also got to drive the boat in a wider section of the Intracoastal Waterway. Sam liked the riding part, snoozing while we rode along. He got a little antsy sitting still in his life jacket but he's not quite swimming yet so he has to wear it! Don't worry, Sam and I stayed in the shade the whole time.

Gabby also attended Vacation Bible School this week for the first time. She had a good time learning all about God and playing with her friends from church. She was sorry to see it end. I had to volunteer so that she could go - that was the deal for preschoolers - so Sam had to tag along and help me in the snack room. He watched lots of kids eat from the comfort of his sling.

Sam also had a first of sleeping all night. He has done it three of the last four nights. I'm sure we'll still be up some but it is nice to occasionally get a longer sleep! As you can see, Gabby still loves to have her picture made with Sam. She hasn't grown tired of him yet....

Smiles

While Sam has been smiling some the last couple of weeks, this is the only picture I have been able to get of the smiles so far.

Recital

Gabby's recital was tonight. She had a great time and did a wonderful job dancing to "Zip-a-dee-doo-dah". They got right up there on the stage and smiled and danced like pros! Of course she was happy to get flowers from her daddy at the end.

Last Day, One Month and Even More Family

Gabby had her last day of school at the park where she had a great time playing with her friends. Samuel turned one month old and met even more family, Grandmama, Grandaddy, and Leah came to visit.
